Privacy Policy

hsg ("we", "our", or "us") is a simple tap game. This policy explains what information we collect when you play, how we use it, and your choices. We keep things minimal — we only collect what's needed to run the leaderboard and achievements.
What we collect
When you play hsg, we collect and store the following:
- Display name — the name you enter before starting, or your Game Center / Google Play Games name if you're signed in.
- Platform ID — your Apple Game Center or Google Play Games player ID. This is used to identify your account across sessions so your personal best is preserved. We never see your Apple ID, email, or Google account.
- Scores and gameplay stats — your score, bonuses collected, penalties incurred, and game duration for each session.
- Achievements — which in-game achievements you've unlocked and when.
- Platform — whether you're playing on iOS or Android.
We do not collect your email address, phone number, location, contacts, or any other personal information.
How we use it
- To display your name and score on the global leaderboard.
- To track your personal best and preserve it between sessions.
- To record and display your achievement progress.
- To show cumulative stats (total games played, total bonuses collected).
We do not use your information for advertising, profiling, or any purpose beyond running the game.
Leaderboard visibility
Your display name and high score are shown publicly on the leaderboard at hsg.gg/leaderboard and within the app. If you'd prefer not to appear on the leaderboard, you can enter a pseudonym instead of your real name.
Third-party services
- Apple Game Center — used on iOS to authenticate your player identity. Subject to Apple's Privacy Policy.
- Google Play Games — used on Android to authenticate your player identity. Subject to Google's Privacy Policy.
- Plausible Analytics — used on this website only (not in the app). Plausible is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that does not use cookies and does not collect personal data. See Plausible's Privacy Policy.
Data storage
Your game data is stored on our servers hosted by Render. Some preferences (such as your name) are also stored locally on your device using encrypted storage.
Children's privacy
hsg does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The game does not require account creation, does not include chat features, and does not display targeted advertising. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
Your choices
- Display name — you can change your name at any time by returning to the start screen.
- Data deletion — to have your data removed from our leaderboard and servers, email us at privacy@hsg.gg with your display name and platform (iOS/Android).
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
